Studying online

How flexible is studying online?

Please note that each course will run between 10 or 12 weeks depending on the programme you select, and will have set deadlines for assessments.

Is studying alone an isolated experience, or will I be able to participate with other students on the programme?

If you are thinking of studying online and are worried about feeling isolated, you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that online study brings many opportunities to connect with others.

The Auckland Online programmes have a very strong focus on creating supportive online communities of learning in a highly collaborative digital learning environment.

When I graduate will my qualification mention or reflect “online”?

Your qualification certificate will not indicate that the programme was taught online.

If I choose not to be vaccinated against COVID-19, will I still be able to study with Auckland Online?

If you choose not to be vaccinated, or if you do not wish to disclose your vaccination status, then this will not impact your ability to continue to study and complete your qualification, as all our programmes and courses are 100% fully online with no requirement to come on-campus.

However, where offered, there may be limitations on your eligibility to participate in optional on-campus activities, as to enter the campus, the University of Auckland does require students to be vaccinated and a vaccine pass will be required in such instances.
